Picnic in the Backyard
I'll be the first to admit that being a stay-at-home-mom during the winter months is pretty drab. But the summers? That's where the fun is at! These eight (or so) months of playing outside with my boys makes up for anything those winter blues throw at me. I am grateful I get to spend my days with these two boys and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Enjoy a few snapshots from our very first picnic lunch of 2013.
Studying their food.
Levi: "What's this whole grain bread stuff?" Jed: "How do I squeeze this Gogurt thing again?"
Jed, Levi, and I all share a love for strawberries and bananas.
I only get to have a squishy baby for one precious year and I can't
believe how fast the months have flown by. Oh, how I'm going to miss
this!
While I was attending to Levi, Jed snuck off with the bag
of pretzels and this is where they ended up: the sandbox. Jed proudly
showed me his sand hill creations. I just laughed. I love this kid.
I totally agree. Picnic-ing outside is one of the best parts of summer.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so fun! I am praying the wind stops and the snow will go away so we can enjoy some time in the sun.

ReplyDeleteOh I miss picnics outside. I'll admit the weather has been much nicer, but I need the winds to slow down just a tad bit more. How fun! I LOVE your pictures.
