Orange County: Part 2
Monday May 7:
What's a trip to southern California without a day at the beach? To me, nothing makes a day more perfect than sun, sand, and salty waves. (Even if I'm so pregnant that I look like a beached whale.)
A little family lovin'.
What kind of cheek squeezing will we do when baby #2 arrives?
Note: Aren't those picture of my sister with her baby boy adorable? They make me happy looking at them!
Tuesday May 8:
On our last day there we toured the Queen Mary, a famous cruise ship that was used as a transport ship during WWII. It's now a museum and hotel. One of my favorite parts about a ship is the engine room, even though I have no idea how it works. It's just massive!
Jed at the helm
Next, we toured the Russian submarine, The Scorpion. I could never ever live on a submarine; quarters are tight!
Coming up out of the submarine!
Jed really liked the look of a Russian Captain's hat.
We finished our afternoon with drive-thru burgers and fries at In-n-Out while Jed snoozed in the back seat. Then we headed down Pacific Coast Highway and spent some time at Huntington Beach perusing through the swap meet shops and putting our toes in the sand.
Amid all our activities that week, we hung out a lot at the townhouse too. We ate and talked and watched movies and talked some more. It was a great combination of busy and relaxing. We love you, California! Even better, we love you, family!!! We can't wait to come back. Thank you!
I loved Jed at the helm and in the captains had and the one of Jed sitting with (and just like) his daddy is adorable!!
